When i picked up my E8350 it was under the assumption and advertised that it was MU-MIMO ready and would be updated in the future, so we all bought one. I see the EA8500 is basically the same router but it is fully MU-MIMO capable. Now that this tech is availabe, why havent we received our promised firmware upgrade. This happens on all my devices and both on the 5 Ghz as well as 2.4 Ghz range. The router Linksys/Belkin sent me a brand new replacement and it has the same vpn issues. I've been waiting for new firmware to make wrt1900ac stable and such. I know this is a slim chance but I hope Linksys/Belkin will upgrade everyone to E8350 from WRT1900ac for free because they screwed it up with Marvell company saying its opened source and current firmware semi stable. I didn't paid over $205 for I have been looking at several aftermarket firmwares, but so far none of the big ones (DD-WRT, OpenWRT, Tomato) supports my router. I did a bit more digging and found out that there is an (almost?) identical router, the E8350, and the FCC sticker on my E8400 also says E8350.
